Lumbago is caused by INJURY to a muscle (STRAIN ) or ligament (SPRAIN).Lumbago causes symptoms and treatment described below
Common Causes of lumbago
- improper lifting of weight material
- poor posture while sleeping or sitting
- lack of regular exercise
- a fracture or sprain
- a ruptured disc or Arthritis
Lifestyle changes can also leads to Lower Back pain that are

- physical activities
Treatment of Chronic back Pain(lumbago)

- Quit smoking

- Healthy Diet
TREATMENT
Medication (NSAIDs, Opioids & Muscle relaxant) only when recommended by your Doctor.
- Minimize stressful activities
- Regular Medical Check Up.
-Gentle massage with ice & certain oil (recommended by your physiotherapist)
One of the best exercise for Lumbago is Curl-up (Crunch):
- Where you, Lie on your back in the hook lying position (knees bent and feet on the floor).
- Cross your hands & arms across your chest.
- Slowly raise your head, neck, upper back, & shoulders off the floor.
As you raise up, exhale. As you lower down, inhale.
Repeat 10 times & work up to 3-5 sets atleast once per day.
